DUI suspect was arrested after two people were killed in a wrong way crash Friday morning on the 91 Freeway in Riverside.
According to a California Highway Patrol spokesperson, a caller reported a motorist traveling westbound in eastbound lanes at 1:47 a.m.. The collision was reported three minutes later near Arlington Avenue.
Two women were killed, and a third passenger suffered minor injuries when the vehicle was struck by a suspected drunken driver traveling the wrong way.
A male passenger in that vehicle was transported to a hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was found at the scene when authorities arrived.
He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to the CHP.
Neither the victims nor the suspect were immediately identified.
