According to the Hollywood Reporter, TLC is going to debuting a new reality docu-series revolving solely around DUI’s in the Los Angeles area. The series will allegedly ride along with law enforcement in a “COPS” like fashion, but specifically focus on only DUI related offenses.
The series looks to dive into the people involved with the DUI, their lives, the legal consequences, and the effects their behavior has on their lives and the lives of their families. At this point, the series seems to be getting glowing reviews from critics – and I personally hope that the series brings to light many of the things that the general public does not know about DUI’s.
As I have stated in the past, most of my client’s who have been arrested for DUI have never broken the law before in their lives. They are clearly good people that have made an isolated error in judgment. Because they are good people, they have never experienced the ravages of the criminal justice system, and have no idea where to begin when asserting their rights. Hopefully this series allows these good people a brief look into an otherwise foreign system.
