Court Case vs. DMV: Two Separate Processes

Most people don’t realize they’re dealing with two proceedings at once after a DUI arrest:

• The criminal court case. This determines the charge outcome and any court-ordered penalties (jail, probation, fines, DUI programs, IID terms, and other conditions).
